Shotgun No Blitz And Nam Le To Release Split EP

On April 4, Shotgun No Blitz and Nam Le will be releasing a split EP via Painted Ox Records. As of the weekend, two new tracks are streaming off the upcoming split EP on Dyingscene.com.

Shotgun No Blitz is a four piece band from Lebanon PA. Taking cues from bands like Saves The Day to more contemporary acts such as Transit and Man Overboard their sound is really hard to pin down to any one artist. Featuring duel vocals and captivating song structure, this band is by no means your carbon copy pop-punk band. When it comes to live shows this band delivers and executes every line and riff from their albums perfectly. What you hear on the albums is what you hear live. From fans screaming back their lines during their set and perfect execution, this band is without a doubt a great talent.

Nam Le is a post-hardcore/punk band from Allentown, PA. Since their inception they have released one Single, an EP and a split with the band Stolen Houses. They have a rich array of influences including Joyce Manor, Title Fight, Touché Amoré, Algernon Cadwallader and Nirvana. Their influences give them a great punk sound as well as a deeply creative tone that will astound you, on top of the fact that they are such a young band. With nothing but outstanding reviews, and praise on all accounts, Nam Le is making its mark.

Digital pre-orders are on the Painted Ox Records online store. People who buy the release through the label, before the release date receive a 50% discount or a 55% discount if they share their pre-order on Facebook or Twitter at checkout.

Cold Roses Campaigning To Self Fund New Album

Possessed by the honesty and raw energy of yesteryear’s rock and roll, Philly’s Cold Roses “…sound like they’re straight out of a Texas roadhouse with their old-style country rock/blues combo” (WXPN). Their high-energy, eclectic live performances quickly led them to perform at some of their area’s most premier music venues including World Cafe Live, Trocadero Theater and The Legendary Dobbs as well as be featured in publications like JUMP Magazine and Philadelphia Weekly.

With the help of Kickstarter the band headed to Atlanta, GA to record their self-funded debut EP, The Georgia Fugue, released in January 2013. Cold Roses’ distinctive blend of rock n’ roll, soul, blues, punk and Americana delivered with genuine, thought-provoking lyrics and unique song writing has made their sound a refreshing musical experience. Whoever said rock and roll was dead must have just given up.

But now Cold Roses have started a Indie Go Go site to which they are reaching out to friends, family and fans for donations to support the cost of their new full length album. They plan to go in to the studio to record in June. The Indie Go Go site lets you donate money and in return Cold Roses are offering great incentives for pledges over certain amounts. Incentives range from a signed record and sticker set all the way to your own private show hosted by the band at the venue of your choice (with food and drinks included). So what are you waiting for? Head to the Indie Go Go site by clicking here now.
