Rising singer-songwriter Tangina Stone premiered the first single Cops from her forthcoming debut EP The Fall on The Boombox.
While musicians may find themselves having to choose between appealing to a mainstream audience and staying true to themselves; enter Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Tangina Stone. Channelling vibrations of legendary Soul and R&B while staying entirely rooted in the sounds of today, her voice boldly explores themes of pain and love simultaneously. Her songwriting complex but easily understood; abstract but focused and familiar but refreshingly new. Featuring four original tracks and two remixes, her debut EP The Fall, scheduled for release September 1, is a musical memoir about hitting rock bottom, getting back up again and finding her greatest love through it all.
Moving to New York City from her hometown of Canton, OH at the age of 18, Tangina knew no one. She spent five years pursing her career relentlessly, forging relationships with other local musicians and has built a loyal and growing fan base along the way, especially among the underground live music scene having played Arlene’s Grocery, SOBs, Rockwood Music Hall, Silvana and other venues in and around New York City.
