Chad VanGaalen Releases New Track, Monster

Chad VanGaalen has released his latest track, Monster, taken from his upcoming album, Shrink Dust, which will be released later this month.

Stereogum premiered the track yesterday saying, “It might seem strange that Calgary singer/songwriter Chad VanGaalen took inspiration from both the Flying Burrito Brothers and the Alejandro Jodorowsky and Moebius comic The Incal but Monster, his new single from the upcoming Shrink Dust, gives that a bit of perspective. VanGaalen lays out lines about his skin changing and his fingers falling off only to be replaced by talons as bustling guitar and group vocals give the whole song a camp fire glow. It’s a nice combination between the familiar and the alien”.
