Calan Mai Releases Video For We’ve Got Love

Aussie indie folk artist Calan Mai has just launched his brand new We’ve Got Love music video.

The track is the first single off his debut EP Days On The Rock Face which will be released digitally worldwide on August 22 through Canvas Sounds/Believe Digital.

The EP was produced by FAIRCHILD & Lyon Apprentice frontman Adam Lyons in a small makeshift studio on the Gold Coast.

The early stages on his live show have included supports for The Phoncurves, Jordan Millar, Patrick James & Playwrite.

Lyon Apprentice Release Video For Single, Be Careful

Australian brother duo Lyon Apprentice have just released their new video for single, Be Careful which was directed by RICO. It is the third single off their debut EP, Be Honest, Be Wild, Be Free which was released on April 4 through Canvas Sounds/Believe Digital.

The EP was co-produced by Mark Myers (The Middle East, Emma Louise) and mixed by Catherine Marks (Foals, Death Cab For Cutie). After supporting the like of Bear’s Den, Big Scary, Cub Sport & Glass Towers, they will embark on a tour throughout May.

Introducing…Fairchild

Fairchild will digitally release their debut Burning Feet EP worldwide on Friday April 25 through Canvas Sounds. Produced and mixed by Catherine Marks (Foals, Howling Bells, Wolf Alice), the EP will also feature a KNDR remix of Dancer. In anticipation of the release, the band have just put out a new music video for the title track Burning Feet. The video was directed by their drummer James Haigh.

Although being their debut EP, the band have been around since 2005. Going through several line-up and name changes before re-launching themselves as Fairchild at the beginning of 2013. During this time, they have toured through Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, China and supported the likes of Neon Indian, Kids of 88, Parachute Youth, Red Riders, Parades, Cassette Kids, Canyons, Pigeon, Battleships, The Khanz, Cub Sport and Northeast Party House.

Introducing…Calan Mai

Calan Mai is the stage name of Australian singer/songwriter Jordan Lawrence. At fifteen years of age he won the 2006 Australasian Children’s Songwriting Competition for his track entitled Before You Depart and has since been writing, performing and recording.

As a folk singer, Lawrence’s primary focus is lyrics – often retrospective, grounded in past events while showcasing a maturity beyond his years. Having only previously uploaded live videos online, Lawrence has finally released his debut single We’ve Got Love, off his five track EP Days On The Rock Face, produced and mixed by Adam Lyons.

Along the way he has supported Patrick James, Cory Branan, FAIRCHILD, Ashleigh Mannix, Lyon Apprentice and Playwrite while also performing at Bleach Festival and Oneway Street Party. Australian brother duo Lyon Apprentice will digitally release their debut EP, Be Honest, Be Wild, Be Free, worldwide on Friday April 4 through Canvas Sounds. The EP was co-produced by Mark Myers (The Middle East, Emma Louise) and mixed by Catherine Marks (Foals, Death Cab For Cutie) which showcases an impressive debut across the five tracks.

Their melodic brand of indie folk has already been making a strong impression after the release of singles Beautiful Thought and I Will Find You which has now been followed up with their latest offering,¬†Be Careful. On the live front they have supported Bear’s Den, Big Scary, Battleships, Cub Sport, Glass Towers and a headline show in Singapore.
