Sleepwave Announce Tour Dates And Album Details

Sleepwave is the new band from former Underoath singer Spencer Chamberlain, featuring new band mate Stephen Bowman. They will join Nothing More this August and September for a US tour, culminating in a performance at Aftershock Festival in Sacramento. The band have also released details about their much anticipated debut album, Broken Compass, which will be released on September 16. Visit Alternative Press to hear the first track, Through The Looking Glass.

With Chamberlain at the helm, Underoath became a major force in the post-hardcore scene with two gold albums, multiple Grammy nominations and crossover success unusual for bands in the scene. Now come Sleepwave with their debut album Broken Compass, the next step in the evolution of Spencer Chamberlain. With an even more melodic, accessible sound, sacrificing none of the intense songwriting that garnered Underoath and a massive following, Broken Compass is sure to put Sleepwave on the map from day one; working with producer David Bendeth (Paramore, Bring Me The Horizon, Of Mice and Men), the band has crafted an album of intense anthemic rock.

Alternative Press put Sleepwave on the cover of their Most Anticipated issue in 2013 and described the band as “…unbridled alt-rock , harkening back to the amped-up mania of classic songs by Smashing Pumpkins and Filter.” Sleepwave has already taken their fervent live show to The Used and Taking Back Sunday tour this spring and to festivals like their recent performance at Rock on the Range in Columbus, OH. Sleepwave will tour as support this summer with Nothing More. Headlining dates for Sleepwave including a record release show in Anaheim, CA have been announced.
