Michael Johnathon is a folksinger, songwriter, concert performer, playwright, opera composer and author who created the worldwide broadcast of the WoodSongs Old-Time Radio Hour; an all-volunteer run, live audience music program that has a weekly audience of nearly two million listeners.

WoodSongs airs on 500 public radio stations, American Forces Radio in 173 and every military base and US Naval ship in the world plus 91M USA TV homes on public television across north America.

His play about Henry David Thoreau has been registered for performance 8700+ times in 42 countries and has been produced for PBS stations.

Michael Johnathon has recently released his 11th album, live CD called Looking Glass. The album has seventeen live performance recordings in theatres from Arkansas to Ireland. The guitar and banjo songs were recorded straight to a digital two track and range from original material like Believe, an aria from the opera he composed about Woody Guthrie, to Summertime, a banjo singalong from Porgy & Bess.
