This new single has been taken from their fourth studio album The Antiquated & The Arcane and remixed by Jim Lowe (Stereophonics, Amy MacDonald, The Noisettes). It was re-recorded to include the new four piece line up.

Days of the Dance tells the interesting and mystical story of the dancing plague that took place in Strasbourg in 1518. A woman stepped out on to the street and couldn’t stop dancing. Several days later over 100 people had joined her. They danced for days and days to the sound of professional musicians who were called in to get them to continue dancing. The authorities believed the only cure was to let them dance it off, if you like.

3 Daft Monkeys have become recognised for their take on classic and traditional folk melodies. Days of the Dance has catchy lyrics, a cheeky traditional folk rhythm and a rather interesting video involving puppets.
